Stock Market Alert - SIGM had a very strong day on Monday, trading up over 12.5% to close the regular session at $24.02. Volume was extremely heavy, with over 2.6 million shares of the stock changing hands, compared to a normal daily average volume of just over one million shares traded. The stock was having an average day and then suddenly exploded mid-day, tacking on over 2 points of gains on heavy volume. I am not sure as to the reason; upcoming news? Did someone take a newfound interest in the stock? No matter what the reason, I’ll dig around and find out. SIGM had a market cap of just over $547 million dollars as of Monday’s close.
